Kevin Mackin has been with the Northstar Camaro Club since 1999 and can remember the days before members were assigned a number and when everyone could all gather around a small round table for a club meeting. A proud Camaro owner, but somewhat wrench-impaired, he relies heavily on other more knowledgeable club members to assist when automotive work is at hand. While he favors convertibles, he's been seen occasionally in a coupe patiently waiting the arrival of the new Camaro. Kevin was club President from 2001 through 2004 then again from 2006 to present.
A founding member of the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota, Kelly has been Treasurer for several years. He, and his 1969 Z/28 RS, can be spotted at most club events. The longest term Officer of the group, Kelly holds the record of most consistent years of club service. He’s owned and operated “Kelly’s Towing” since its start up and is an active participant in the automotive community.
Walter Nowocin has been a member since Nov 2006. He is the original owner of two Camaros: 2010 RS and 1977 Sports Coupe. The 1977 had a frame-off restoration in 2007 and was painted in a two-tone Rally Sport design. Walter enjoys taking his Camaros out whenever he can. Walter also enjoys interacting with his Northstar Camaro friends at all of the shows and events.
Jeff has been in the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota since 2001. He drives a 1978 Z/28, which he has owned since 1985. You have probably seen Jeff with his Camaro at almost all of the big local car shows. Put your sunglasses on to look under the hood of his car! There you'll see lots and lots of chrome. Jeff claims that his car isn't very fast but the members of the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota have never seen chrome move that quick! Jeff has been the Events Director since April 2009. Prior to that, Jeff was the Membership Director which he held since December 2003. You'll see Jeff at virtually every club event, bring your sunglasses.
James Reiter joined the Camaro club at the Grossman show in 2008 and since has tried to make it to as many events as his schedule will allow. James grew up owning many Trans Ams and Firebirds but decided that the Camaro was just more his style. James has 2 Camaro's now. He drives one of them everyday and the other every chance he has.
Barbara McAdams joined the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota in 2007. The proud owner of a teal 1994 Z/28, she’s had it for only 4 years. When not working on club events, she’s always ready to take the Camaro out for a ride!
Patrick has been with the club since the spring of 2005 and has played an active role in the cruises leading up to him taking on the new Crusie Director position in 2008. He is currently driving a 1991 RS Camaro.
Shannon and Aaron Archer are a wife and husband team with an intense interest in old GM vehicles. Shannon drives her modified 1967 RS/SS whenever she gets a chance, and has taken a very active role in the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota. She is also working on a new women's wear line for the club. Aaron is currently collecting parts to restore his basket case 1968 Impala SS, and enjoys a bit of wrenching, bench racing and reminiscing.
UPDATE: Shannon Archer passed away on August 6th 2009 due to complications with her Advanced Metatastic Pancreatic Cancer. She was half of a wife and husband team with an intense interest in old GM vehicles. Shannon drove her modified 1967 RS/SS whenever she could, including the power tour in 2008 and 2009. She took a very active role in the Northstar Camaro Club of Minnesota and was our Vice President. She is greatly missed.
In memory of Shannon and to honor her many contributions to the Northstar Camaro Club, we designed a custom logo for our club t-shirt with Shannon's 1967 RS/SS featured on the top.
