2cd gen console into a 1st gen???? Options

Anyone try fitting a 73-81 console into a first gen? I sure looks like that would be a great fit with the offset on the 6speed in the 67, and would still give me an armrest. I could alter the front section for cup holders (they in front of the ash tray in the dash). Anyone have a second gen console I could play with?

I dont have a 2nd gen console but i have lots of 3rd  gen if you want to see how one of those would look as well.

yes for the most part anything from 1970 to 1981 is interchangeable sometimes they just need a little bit of "convincing" and its just not going to be original
