Upcoming Events

The Bowtie Brunch tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 16 has been cancelled. They are looking at rescheduling possibly this summer.

Check back for our next event, hopefully in February or March. Thanks for your patience as we all navigate through scheduling with COVID restrictions.

Until then, we enjoy this article from the Chevrolet Pressroom as they talked to five designers about each of the Camaro generations.

A Generational Thing: Camaro Design Through the Years
Chevrolet designers reflect on five generations of iconic style 02-26-2015

DETROIT – As the Camaro rolls through the final year of its fifth generation, Chevrolet asked five designers who have contributed to the sporty car’s design to reflect on the styling legacy that helped create an icon.
“While Camaro has evolved with cultural and design trends, it has consistently represented the approachable, attainable sports car with an emphasis on fun that’s evident in its styling,” said Ed Welburn, vice president of GM Global Design. “As a result, each generation of Camaro has evoked an emotional connection with enthusiasts – connections spanning 48 years, and five generations.” Find the rest of the article and pictures here:

December Event

On Saturday, December 12th we shopped for the Annual Toys for Tots drive.

Several club members met at the Quarry Target on New Brighton Boulevard to purchase six, yes six, loaded carts of toys for the Marine Toys for Tots annual drive. Target devoted one lane entirely
to our club and generously helped to maximize the donations received. We couldn't have
purchased as much as we did without their generous support. During this COVID year,
we felt it was more important than ever to support this important event.

Thank you for supporting this annual club event,
whether it was with your time, financial donation, or both to purchase toys for this event!

Camaro's Life Extended By Two More Years to 2026: Report
By Jacob Oliva  | Posted On December 26, 2020

A small ray of hope for Camaro fans.

Despite several rumors about its demise, Chevrolet refuses to confirm nor deny anything about the Camaro, but it sure is giving the muscle car a heck of a swan song.

In our previous report about the Corvette C8's pricing in Australia, Wheels discussed a tiny bit of news about the Camaro at the latter end of the story. The other go-fast Chevy is said to have been given two more years in its life, with the retirement moved from 2024 to 2026.

Shark Gray 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Makes No Secret of What Hides Under the Hood
November 27, 2020, by Daniel Patrascu

Oftentimes I wonder how today’s Camaro will be seen half a century from now. Will it be the icon of the collectors’ world everybody will be worshiping, or a forgotten page in the history of the bowtie carmaker? Will it have at least half of the appeal early-gen Camaros presently have, or will it surpass them?

Almost Complete First-Year Camaro Build Needs Someone to Get It Back on the Road
By Bogdan Popa | Posted On November 16, 2020

First-year Camaros in a total tip-top shape aren’t that common these days, despite this model actually representing the debut of one of the most popular cars in automotive history.

However, given it’s Chevrolet month here at autoevolution, we can’t help but highlight not only those models that have already become genuine head turners, but also those currently on their way to such a final accomplishment.

The 1967 Camaro that you see here, for example, is an almost complete build that ticks nearly all the boxes, as most work has already been finalized and the car is now waiting for someone to do the final tweaks and get it back on the road.

Member and Planning Meetings

The Northstar Camaro Club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.
Due to the pandemic, meetings are currently held on ZOOM. All members will
receive an email invitation from our Vice President with a link to attend the meetings.
Meetings begin at 7:30 pm.

(We will post here when meetings will return to our usual location at:
Davanni's Roseville, 1905 W Perimeter Dr, Roseville, MN)

The second Tuesday is a member meeting and the fourth Tuesday is a planning meeting. Members are welcome to attend both meetings. Topics include both old and new business, and there is usually a presentation or lively discussion relating
to our favorite subject - Camaro's! This is the place to exchange ideas and get to know fellow club members.
