We toured the MN Transportation Museum on Saturday,. March 22nd. We had our own group tour guide. He shared a lot of great information with our group. Afterward we headed to the Crooked Pint Ale House for lunch.
We held our Winter Banquet on Saturday, February 15th. We started with a great lunch at Woodfire Grill (the ribs were finger-licking good) and made the short trip to Game Show Battle Rooms in St. Louis Park at West End. Seventeen members gathered to test our skills. The Blue team took the trophy, but we all had a great time!
Our annual Toys for Tots service event was held on December 14th. We had 23 people come to shop at the Quarry Target. The same Target team from last year helped us out again to have our largest shopping trip yet benefiting children of all ages at the holidays. Afterward we dropped off the toys at Kare 11 and headed to a wonderful lunch at Doolittles Woodfire Grill. A huge that you to the Target team, to all who helped by donating financially, and to the members and their kids and grandkids who came to help us shop. Have a wonderful Holiday!
We had our first Tech Session on Saturday, November 16 at the Wings of the North Air Museum at Flying Cloud Airport. We had about 20 people come. The docents did a great job.! We even got to see a plane under repair in their shop.

Chevy Camaro Must Become Less Expensive To See Next-Gen: Exclusive
By Alex Luft January 12, 2025 5:16 pm
Since GM officially announced plans to discontinue the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro, enthusiasts have been on edge for info about the future of the storied muscle car. What we’ve heard thus far has been all over the place, starting with remarks from Chevy chief Scott Bell, who was quoted as saying in a March 2023 press release that the discontinuation of the sixth-gen model “is not the end of the Camaro story.” Beyond that, we’ve also heard some comments stating that the Camaro should return as an electric performance car and even as family of battery electric performance cars. Now, GM Authority is here to bring you the latest.

Fifth-Gen Chevy Camaro Swaps V6 For 800-Horsepower 4.8L V8: Video
By Jonathan Lopez January 11, 2025 1:05 am
There’s more than one way to go fast, especially when it comes to the Chevy Camaro. Sure, you could stick the tried-and-true formula of a supercharged 6.2L V8, but for this particular fifth-gen, the answer was a bit different. You see, this thing was originally equipped with a V6, but now it’s sporting a 4.8L V8 from a Silverado, plus a honking big turbo, all of which adds up to a rather violent 800 horsepower.

1967 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Trans-Am Race Car Kissimmee Auction Bound
By Brett Hatfield January 5, 2025 1:05 am
Ford debuted the Mustang in mid-April, 1964 as a half-year model. Sales were expected to be around 100,000 units per year, but far eclipsed that mark, with more than 400,000 units crossing Ford showrooms in the first year of production. The one millionth Mustang was sold before two production years had passed. Chevrolet desperately needed to capitalize on this new pony car market. The Bow Tie’s answer came on September 26th, 1966, in the form of the Chevy Camaro.

Should The Next-Gen Chevy Camaro Be A Ford Mustang Or Toyota GR86 And Subaru BRZ Rival?By Jonathan Lopez December 27, 2024 12:03 am
GM discontinued the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro following the conclusion of the 2024 model year, much to the dismay of fans. Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time the Camaro nameplate has been killed off, with GM previously giving it the axe in 2002 before the launch of the fifth-gen in 2009 for the 2010 model year. Indeed, we wouldn’t be surprised to see GM launch an all-new, seventh-generation Chevy Camaro sometime in the next several years. However, the question is this – what form should it take? (Place your vote at the end of the article.)

By Jonathan Lopez December 23, 2024 10:43 pm
The title of “greatest sports car of all time” is bound to lead to some rather heated debate among car enthusiasts, especially GM Authority readers. However, according to the team at Hennessey Performance, the Chevy Camaro ZL1 Exorcist is a worthy contender for the crown. To back this bold claim, Hennessey has released a new three-and-a-half-minute video showcasing the Exorcist in its natural element.
